Fastest growing companies named to 2013 Dynamic Dozen

Posted online
The scores have been tabulated and the results are in for Springfield Business Journal’s 2013 Dynamic Dozen, honoring the 12 fastest-growing companies in the Ozarks. Along with the 12 companies, SBJ also will honor six individuals in two categories: local executive and local sales and marketing executive.

The Dynamic Dozen companies, in alphabetical order, are: Citizens Memorial Healthcare, Covington Holdings Inc. dba Ashley Furniture HomeStore, CoxHealth, DeWitt & Associates Inc., Integrity Pharmacy LLC, Jack Henry & Associates Inc., JMark Business Solutions Inc., Marlin Network Inc., Springfield First Community Bank, Superior Rents Inc., Penmac Staffing Services Inc. and Red Monkey Foods.

The Dynamic Dozen companies were chosen through a numbers-based formula that awards points for both revenue and percentage growth year-to-year for 2010, 2011 and 2012. Eligible companies must report gross revenues of at least $500,000 for each of those years, and they must operate headquarters in Springfield Business Journal’s 50-mile coverage area.

Bill Dunton, owner of Abacus CPAs LLC, verified the numbers in the Dynamic Dozen applications.

Determined by an independent panel of judges, local executive honorees for 2013 are Geoffrey Butler of Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc.; Donald Babb of Citizens Memorial Healthcare; and John Wanamaker of BKD LLP. Local sales and marketing executive honorees are Mary Guccione of TF Forming Systems; Dan Reiter of Springfield Cardinals LLC; and Angel Shortt of Old Missouri Bank.

Rankings for the Dynamic Dozen companies will be announced and the individuals will be honored at a May 16 reception and awards ceremony at Doubletree Hotel, 2431 N. Glenstone Ave. Tickets are $30 apiece and are available at SBJ.net/D12.

Profiles of the honored companies and individuals will appear in a special publication that will debut at the event and be distributed in SBJ’s May 20 edition.
