Branson Airport adds service to Milwaukee in July

Branson Airport is adding nonstop service to Milwaukee beginning July 1, airport officials announced Tuesday.

Frontier Airlines, which currently flies between Branson and Denver, is offering the service between Branson and Milwaukee three days a week. The new destination coincides with Frontier increasing the frequency of its Denver route to five days a week.

Frontier's service to and from Branson will be on Embraer 170/190 aircraft, according to an airport news release. Those aircraft seat from 70 to 114 passengers, according to information from Embraer's Web site.

"We are thrilled with Frontier’s rapid expansion in the Branson market and with the opportunities now offered to the Branson community,” Airport Executive Director Jeff Bourk said in the release. “Milwaukee service has been a highly-requested destination and we’re extremely pleased with the increase in Denver service.”

The Milwaukee service increases the number of nonstop destinations from Branson to nine, including AirTran service to Atlanta and six public-charter routes through a partnership with ExpressJet Airlines, under the name Branson AirExpress.

A seventh public-charter route, to and from Terre Haute, Ind., was canceled in April due to low booking rates.[[In-content Ad]]
