Two decades ago, Scott Crise knew his career at Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. had staying power.
“This is a great company that cares about its people and cares about its community,” says Crise, 55, who currently serves as manager of technical services for the power cooperative.
That care for the community is a notion Crise has taken personally, as he’s currently seeking an elected position to give back to the city he calls home. On April 6, Crise will be on the general election ballot for the Springfield Public Schools Board of Education. Six others are running, and Crise recently picked up an endorsement from the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
His reason for running? “I love Springfield,” he says. “We’ve raised our daughters in this community. I have a passion for public education.”
Best advice to young professionals? Do what you can to get involved in the community. The community needs young people involved.
With its third time appearing on the Dynamic Dozen list – Springfield Business Journal’s countdown of the fastest-growing companies in our community – Keep Supply took home the top honor.
