Bass Pro Shops founder and CEO Johnny Morris accepts the National Wild Turkey Federation’s Corporate Achievement Award during the organization’s 2021 Convention and Sport Show, held virtually Feb. 15-21. The award recognizes corporate partners’ effort in conserving wildlife and preserving America’s outdoors lifestyle. NWTF officials say Morris has financially supported the group for decades, and his Bass Pro and Cabela’s brands have become its largest giving partner. Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium in Springfield hosted the virtual event.

The bank has donated 5,000 signs that say “Thank you, Health Care Heroes” for hospital employees, including CoxHealth President and CEO Steve Edwards, center, to pick up and display in their yards. “SFC Bank is especially grateful for the time, energy and expertise given by these front-line workers and those that support them,” McNew said in a news release.
The owners of a Springfield catering business launched a new venture; indoor golfing venue franchise X-Golf Springfield swung into the Queen City; and CoxHealth Branson Hills opened.
