Walmart issued a recall of some 246,000 axes sold nationwide.
The Ozark Trail camp axes sold exclusively at Walmart stores have a defect that can result in the head detaching from the handle.
The axes manufactured by Gardex of India also were sold on Walmart's website from January 2017 through July 2018. They retail for roughly $8.
