Visa and Mastercard have reached a $30 billion settlement over merchant fees.
The settlement would lower swipe fees that U.S. merchants pay when customers make purchases with Visa or Mastercard cards over the next five years.
The settlement must be approved by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
