The Rebecca Grille relocates out of Springfield

The Rebecca Grille has relocated out of Springfield, and the downtown former home of Bijan’s Sea and Grille is once again on the market for lease.

Rebecca Grille owners Noah and Amy Smith vacated the 209 E. Walnut St. spot this month to reopen in Lee's Summit, according to the eatery's website. The couple opened the restaurant in February 2011.

In 2008, the Jalili family sold Bijan’s to managers Barry Kackley and Jeremy Reed, who shuttered the restaurant about two years later. The Jalili family, who also own Touch Restaurant at 1620 E. Republic Road and Flame Steakhouse at 314 W. Walnut St., opened Bijan's in 1996, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

The Jalilis still maintain ownership of the building.

The 4,764-square-foot property is listed for lease at $4,200 per month by Murney Associates, Realtors commercial real estate agent Chris Pellham.

SBJ was housed in the former Bijan's space 1985-1996.[[In-content Ad]]
