Nearly half of U.S. banks are tightening lending standards, according to a new survey from the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank.
Senior loan officers overseeing underwriting were surveyed.
As of the first quarter, 46% of banks surveyed raised the cost of financing for commercial and industrial loans to mid-to-large businesses.
