Herschend Family Entertainment Corp.'s Ride the Ducks is calling it quits in Philadelphia.
The move comes six years after a fatal collision occurred between a Ride the Ducks boat and a ship in the Delaware River. The crash left two Hungarian students dead and led to a $17 million settlement.
In a statement issued Wednesday about the closure, Ride the Ducks officials said a huge spike in insurance costs was to blame. They did not mention the 2010 crash.
