Republic First Bank closed by Pennsylvania regulators

Republic First Bank has been closed by Pennsylvania regulators, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. announced.

The FDIC has been appointed as the receiver by the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities.

As of January, Republic First Bank had $6 billion in assets and $4 billion in deposits.
