Port Authority of KC awarded $2M grant

The Federal Railroad Administration awarded a $2 million grant to the Port Authority of Kansas City.

The funds are earmarked for the Kansas City port authority to eliminate three crossings in the developing Berkeley Riverfront Area.

“Work, live, play, all in this area,” said Meredith Hoenes, director of communications at the Port Authority of Kansas City. “When railroads were put in 100 years ago, that was never the expectation.”
