Overland Park Police Department chief resigns

The chief of the Overland Park Police Department in Kansas resigned suddenly on Tuesday.

An explanation was not given for the departure of Frank Donchez, who served as chief since 2014.

During his tenure, the department came under fire for Donchez's handling of the fatal police shooting of John Albers.
