Columbus, Kansas-based Crossland Construction Co. Inc. added a Springfield office July 24. Lance Garrett, division manager in Springfield, said the contractor occupies 1,100 square feet of insurance agent Scott Loveland’s building, 2332 W. Kingsley St. Crossland Construction, which employs four and one intern locally. In recent years, it has completed three Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market stores in the Queen City totaling roughly $4.8 million in development costs, the Wal-Mart Supercenter on West Sunshine Street and O’Reilly Automotive Inc.’s $8.9 million home office. Springfield crews currently are working on a Napleton Autowerks dealership near U.S. Highway 65 and Division Street, said Garrett, who’s worked out of Springfield the past five years for Crossland and was promoted with the new office opening. The company signed a three-year lease for undisclosed terms.

O’Reilly Cos.
Three businesses, collectively branded as O’Reilly Cos., moved into shared offices June 1, at 5051 S. National Ave., Stes. 4-100 and 4-110. Pat O’Reilly said he is partnered principally with Denise Heintz on O’Reilly Development Co. LLC, O’Reilly Build LLC and O’Reilly Management Services LLC. The 4,400-square-foot office was combined into one fluid office space and renovated for $200,000, with O’Reilly Build handling the construction. The modern design features barn-style sliding glass doors, a reclaimed-wood boardroom table and shamrock-green accents. O’Reilly Development has worked in historic preservation, and multifamily, senior and student housing since 2013. O’Reilly Build is a general contractor established in April through a buyout of Build LLC. O’Reilly Management, founded in 2016, is a property- and asset-management company specializing in student and urban housing.

Missouri Care Inc.
Tampa, Florida-based WellCare Health Plans Inc. (NYSE: WCG) opened a Springfield office April 17 at 308 Park Central East. Operating under Missouri Care Inc., the firm is one of three insurance providers that offer health plans for MO HealthNet Managed Care, aka Medicaid, said Patti Flesher, regional communications manager. Missouri Care began serving statewide in May, she said, noting the other two options for MO HealthNet coverage are Centene Corp.’s Home State Health and UnitedHealth Group Inc. Missouri Care and WellCare serve 295,800 MO HealthNet members and 16,000 Medicare prescription drug members in Missouri, Flesher said. She said 13 people work in the company’s newly remodeled 6,580-square-foot office – leased for undisclosed terms from Titus Williams of Jasper Properties Downtown LLP – but has space for 40. Missouri Care has about 150 staff members, at offices in Columbia, St. Louis, St. Joseph and Cape Girardeau.
