Northwestern Mutual sets up $20M fund for women-led startups

Northwestern Mutual is allocating $20 million in venture capital funding to go toward women-led startups.

"Allocating $20 million is only the beginning. We will continue to invest in and provide opportunities for female founders," said Souheil Badran, chief operating officer and executive vice president at Northwestern Mutual.

The funding is part of a $150 million corporate venture capital fund started in May.
