The National Nuclear Security Administration is moving forward on plans that would more than double the size of its Kansas City campus.
The plan, called the Kansas City Non-Nuclear Component Expansion Transformation, includes 2.5 million square feet of new office, manufacturing and support space. It would be east of the agency's existing campus.
The City Plan Commission on Tuesday gave support to rezoning and master plans for the expansion.
