Tesla CEO Elon Musk yesterday mocked the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in a tweet, calling it the “Shortseller Enrichment Commission.”
"The Shortseller Enrichment Commission is doing incredible work. And the name change is so on point!" Musk tweeted.
The comments come less than a week after the SEC fined Musk and ordered him to give up his chairman role at Tesla for saying he had "funding secured" to take the company private.
Recent data from S3 Partners show Tesla is the most shorted stock in the United States.
