Missouri to get $1.8M from drug settlement

Missouri is slated to receive $1.8 million from a national $102.5 million drug settlement.

The company that entered the settlement, Indivior Inc., makes Suboxone, which is designed to reduce cravings for stronger opioids.

The settlement came after litigation accused the company of making minor changes to keep the drug under patent so it wouldn't have to compete with lower-cost generic drugs.
