Medical Consulting Group moves to new HQ

Medical Consulting Group LLC is now operating from a new headquarters after recently wrapping up a merger.

The Springfield company announced in a news release this morning that it completed its move to 2925 E. Battlefield Road, a 33,000-square-foot building purchased by MCG in 2021. The move consolidates operations after the company previously operated in two buildings on Ingram Mill Road.

MCG occupies roughly 16,000 square feet in the Battlefield Road building, with the remaining space leased, officials say.

"The move comes as a result of increasing company growth and the need for additional staff," officials said in the release.

MCG earlier this month finalized a merger deal with Bernardino, California-based Corcoran Consulting Group, according to past reporting.

"The combined business now employs 80 people with more expected to be added in the future. In addition, MCG revenues have increased by approximately 29% since the end of COVID and continue to grow," officials said in the release. "With the addition of Corcoran, MCG has also gained a new client base and is now considered the leading provider of business services for ophthalmic practices and corporations throughout the U.S."

MCG provides consulting services to ophthalmic practices and companies, while Corcoran Consulting Group specializes in billing, coding and reimbursement issues for ophthalmology and optometry practices.
