The city manager of Kansas City has been named a finalist for the same job title in Austin, Texas.
Kansas City Manager Brian Platt is one of three finalists for the role in Austin. The winning candidate is expected to be announced by April.
Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said the city would work to keep Platt in his current role.
