Missouri State University is hosting NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana at a conference later this year.
Montana is slated to deliver the keynote address on Sept. 26 during the university’s 2023 Public Affairs Conference, according to a news release.
“Widely considered one of the best NFL quarterbacks of all time, Joe will inspire us to lead with excellence and integrity,” said Brent Dunn, MSU Foundation executive director, in the release.
The keynote event kicks off the Sept. 26-28 conference whose theme is “Navigating the Now: Tradition, innovation and wisdom in a world of change.”
Montana won four Superbowl championships during his professional football career. After retiring in 1995, he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000. Now a motivational speaker, Montana has penned two books, according to the release.
Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin was last year's Public Affairs Conference keynote speaker.
