IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said the company plans to pause hiring for jobs that artificial intelligence can do.
The move would impact back-office functions, such as human resources. The company's non-customer-facing roles amount to around 26,000 employees.
“I could easily see 30% of that getting replaced by AI and automation over a five-year period," Krishna said.
