Germany narrowly dodged a recession as its economy grew by 0.02 percent in the final quarter of 2018.
Country officials said construction and business spending helped Germany avoid two consecutive quarters of negative growth - which is a technical recession.
For the three months ending in September 2018, economic growth was -0.2 percent.
