Project description: A four-story apartment building rising on St. Louis Street will consist of 53 residential units and a small office space for property management, according to architect Sean Harrell of Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective. Most of the apartments are studio units, with some one-bedroom units available as well. The site is east of a Price Cutter grocery store and next to Central Self Storage. A housing study released by the city of Springfield anticipates nearly 6,000 new renters in the city by 2025 and more than 29,000 new renters by 2040. At present, the study counts 562 multifamily apartment buildings in Springfield.
Moseley’s Discount Office Products was purchased; Side Chick opened in Branson; and the Springfield franchise store of NoBaked Cookie Dough changed ownership.
