Project description: Student and affordable housing developer Vecino Group is finishing out its Park East neighborhood with 103 units, mostly one-bedroom and studio apartments. Located across the street from Vecino’s universally designed Frisco Lofts, Cresco will join Sky Eleven, The U and The Sterling in Park East. The U-shaped Cresco is inset on the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Olive Street, with green space and a planned landscaped terrace leading to a courtyard with barbecue grills, said Tim Roth, Vecino’s director of student housing. “It’s a tight site,” Roth said of the former unused parking lot adjacent to a downtown parking garage. Vecino Group bought the parking properties in 2015 from the city.
