Three former Kansas City Chiefs players are headed to the Queen City for the annual Birthplace of Route 66 Festival.

Danan Hughes, Neil Smith and Brandon Williams are scheduled to be in Springfield tomorrow as the annual festival kicks off, according to a news release.

The trio will meet and greet fans 4-6 p.m. at the Springfield Expo Center, ride the Kingdom Cruiser in part of the Birthplace of Route 66 Parade and end the evening at a rally at the Aaron Sachs Stage at McDaniel Street and Jefferson Avenue.

The city of Springfield previously announced the Super Bowl LVII Lombardi Trophy would be at the festival on Aug. 11 as part of the Chiefs Champion Tour.

Smith played for the Chiefs from 1988 to 1996; Hughes was a 1993-98 player for the team; and Williams is a current free agent who won a Super Bowl ring when the Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, according to the release.
