Flora Farms adds dispensary in KC area

Posted online

Local marijuana business Flora Farms LLC has added a dispensary in the Kansas City area.

The dispensary in Lee’s Summit is scheduled to open tomorrow. Flora Farms purchased an existing business, 3rd Street Dispensary, for terms that were undisclosed in a news release.

“While Flora Farms products have been available in Kansas City for over two years, we are thrilled to now bring our retail experience to the area. 3rd Street Dispensary has made such a mark on their community," said Mary Kate Black, director of retail for Flora Farms, in the release. "We expect to have a smooth transition as we share the same dedication to providing a wide range of products and excellent customer service."

Flora Farms has four other dispensaries in Springfield, Humansville, Neosho and Ozark. The company grows its products at a cultivation center in Humansville.

Flora Farms President Mark Hendren teased plans for a Kansas City-area dispensary during Springfield Business Journal's 12 People You Need to Know live interview event in April.
