Curb Appeal: Springfield ends 2023 with 21 listings

In the last month of 2023, more than $17 million worth of high-end homes were listed on the market in Springfield.

For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of 21 single-family homes within city limits that were listed last month with asking prices of $500,000 or more. That compares with 19 in November and 29 in October.

The homeowners who listed the residences last month are seeking a combined $17.3 million, according to Southern Missouri Regional MLS data.

Three properties were listed at more than $1 million apiece. The highest-priced listing of the month, at nearly $2.7 million, is for a five-bedroom home at 700 N. Farm Road 193, in northeast Springfield.

The latest data from the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors show the average sale price for homes in November was $292,213. That compares with an average price of $266,360 in November 2022.

The most recent Missouri Realtors association data show an average residential sale price of $294,477 in November. That's up 6.6% year over year.
