A Cox College department chair has been named to a state board by Gov. Mike Parson.
Amy Stark, of Nixa, was appointed to the Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy, according to a news release. Stark is a professor and occupational therapy department chair at Cox College.
The Board of Occupational Therapy, which has six members and was created in 1997, develops, implements and administers rules and regulations governing occupational therapy practices. The regulations include licensure requirements, according to the state website.
At Cox College, Stark additionally leads its first-ever doctorate degree program in occupational therapy, according to past reporting. The CoxHealth-affiliated college announced the doctorate program in the spring.
