Citigroup, the third-biggest U.S. bank by assets, reported lower-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue.
Revenue came in at $17.1 billion, compared with the $17.6 billion analyts predicted.
Excluding one-time impacts from tax changes in the United States, the company's earnings came to $1.61 per share, beating analysts' expectations of $1.55.
