Branson entertainer Shoji Tabuchi, a famed violinist, has died. He was 79.

A public Facebook post from his daughter, Chrissy Lingo-Tabuchi, indicates Tabuchi died on Aug. 11. His cause of death was not identified, though media reports have indicated he had cancer.

"Not only will he be terribly missed by his family and friends, he will also be missed by his countless fans throughout the world," the Facebook post reads.

The Shoji Tabuchi Theatre, 3260 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, was built in 1990 to house the Shoji Tabuchi Show, which featured the violinist and other entertainers, according to the theater's Google business page.

Tabuchi last performed to audiences in 2022, according to media reports.

I met Shoji when I worked in Branson. One of the nicest guys on the strip. And loved to fish TRL.
