Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield Inc. CEO Brandy Harris was named Executive of the Year by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Professional Association, according to a news release.
"You can't win Executive of the Year without an incredible team working alongside you," Harris said in the release. “We have 120 staff members who are irrationally passionate about making the world a better place for the kids. We have an active board that shows up for our mission.”
Harris received the award during the 117th Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Conference, held this week in Orlando.
The CEO of BGCS since 2019, Harris has overseen more than 100 full- and part-time staff members and added four after-school locations to bring the total to eight, according to the release. Harris last year was named among Springfield Business Journal's Most Influential Women honorees.
