Springfield-based Bass Pro Shops is consolidating its Cincinnati-area stores with the launch of a new location.
A Feb. 21 grand opening event has been set for a new Bass Pro Outdoor World in West Chester, Ohio, according to a news release. The company's existing stores in West Chester and Cincinnati are combining into the new location.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to expand the offering of outdoor gear we provide the passionate sportsmen and women of this tri-state region, and we hope the community is proud of how this new store reflects Ohio’s rich sporting heritage,” Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris said in the release.
Existing employees in the market are joining the new 125,000-square-foot Outdoor World, officials said.
The grand opening event is slated to include appearances by TV personality Roland Martin and Hall of Fame angler Jimmy Houston, according to the release.
Bass Pro's website lists 172 stores in the United States and Canada.
