Audi's interim boss takes over permanently

Bram Schot, the acting CEO of Volkswagen's Audi division, has been named to the role permanently.

He took over on an interim basis in June after former leader Rupert Stadler was jailed as prosecutors look into alleged illegal manipulation of diesel engine emissions.

VW CEO Herbert Diess said Schot would "further accelerate the transformation of the enterprise."
