850 acres around STL NGA campus declared blighted

The St. Louis Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority declared blighted some 850 acres surrounding the new National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency campus in the northern part of the city.

Officials did not indicate whether any specific redevelopments are on their way.

The blight approval requires the green light from the city's board of aldermen.
