2024 40 Under 40: Jana Greig

Burrell Behavioral Health and Brightli Inc.

Posted online

Jana Greig, 38, bases her leadership on a James Keller quote: “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.” As executive vice president of administration at Burrell Behavioral Health, Greig dedicates herself to sharing knowledge with others by establishing training programs and leading Burrell’s Be Well initiatives.

“I am fueled by a passionate commitment to the critical mission of improving mental health,” Greig says.

That passion has fueled her growth within Burrell. She started as the system director of marketing on a team of two and now leads 19 people over multiple brands, three websites and 17 social media pages.

Greig serves on the Leadership Springfield board of directors and Adult & Teen Challenge USA advisory board, while also volunteering at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks and the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. For personal and professional growth, she read 11 books on strategy and leadership last year. Among the takeaways she’s applying: productive tensions support smarter decisions and lean into curiosity by asking more questions before jumping to conclusions.
