Queen City Roofing & Sheet Metal was established in 1930 and has been in continuous operation, serving the needs of Springfield and southwest Missouri for 89 years. Everyone at the company is looking forward to celebrating the 90th anniversary of Queen City Roofing in 2020.

Current owner and CEO, Larry Stock, has been with Queen City Roofing for 40 years. Hired in 1979, Larry worked his way up the ladder and eventually bought the company 20 years later in 1999.

Stock says, “Our primary mission and purpose here at Queen City Roofing is summarized in our company motto, which is “Safety, Quality, Teamwork, & Respect”. We try our best to follow those principles in all of our interactions and work.”

Stock believes loyal, longtime employees following these principles are a huge contributor to the fact that Queen City Roofing has been around for so long. Michael Katrosh has been with the company for 12 years and has recently been named company President. Katrosh previously served as an estimator, project manager, and most recently as General Manager.

The company promoted Steve Arnold to the newly created position of Vice President of Operations. Arnold has been with the company for 20 years, and worked his way up in the company starting as a field technician and also served as Superintendent of the Sheet Metal Department before being named to this new post.

“We always try to focus on the importance of communication, both internally and externally, as well as providing the highest quality service and problem solving for our clients,” says Stock. “These values are much more important to us than sales. When you make service your priority, the revenue takes care of itself.”

Queen City Roofing & Sheet Metal has been recognized and obtained certification from the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA), as both an Elite Contractor, and Safety Program’s Gold Level Achievement.

Queen City Roofing & Sheet Metal recently completed a remodel and addition to their facility that included a new conference room, 2 employee-training rooms and a new facility for sheet metal fabrication. Costs for the remodel and addition were around one million dollars.
