Project description: DeWitt & Associates Project Manager Dillon Sperry said Phase I comprises an 11,480-square-foot cafeteria and kitchen, which will be complete in August, and an 18,225-square-foot student commons area, expected to be finished in December. Springfield Public Schools’ upgrades at Kickapoo High School are projected to cost $15 million across two phases, funded by a $71.65 million SPS bond issue Springfield voters approved in April 2013. Sperry said Phase I includes a new HVAC system. Phase II, which is currently in design, comprises a new 900-seat auditorium expected to be complete by fall 2015.
