Project description: The 10-story patient tower includes 28 private rooms in a neonatal intensive care unit on the ground floor and 32 private postpartum nursing and support spaces on the second floor, said CoxHealth spokeswoman Michelle Leroux. She said floors three through five will be shelled for future expansion, with the sixth floor mechanical space serving the new tower and connecting to the mechanical equipment in the existing building. The upper floors are dedicated to inpatient and outpatient neurological services, as well as rehabilitation space. The project is funded by $200 million in bonds CoxHealth issued in April 2013.
