Nicole Jarratt believes in demonstrating professional leadership through her own example. But she didn’t set out to become a leader. Through her strong desire to better the community and her passion to help foster success in others, Jarratt’s leadership blossomed.
“As a leader and an entrepreneur I am most proud of the successful business I have built and the opportunities it has provided to me to give back to the community through creating local jobs and donating money and services to numerous charitable organizations,” she says.
Jarratt and her husband, Chris, started Revel Advertising three years ago at age 26, and in that short time the company has secured accounts such as Missouri State University Athletics, Metropolitan National Bank and Mercy Research and Development.
As Revel operations manager and partner, she strives to communicate a sense of ownership and connection with each of her agency’s employees.“The culture I have worked hard to instill in my company is one of integrity, work ethic and community service,” she says. “Some of the roles that I am proud to be able to lead in are business owner, woman entrepreneur, board member, mentor and mother.”
Jarratt currently serves as president of Hope Sertoma, working to lead a group of young professional women in raising funds and awareness for children with pediatric illnesses and launching a support program that reaches beyond the financial assistance families facing pediatric tragedy need. To accomplish this goal, Jarratt developed a partnership with several local counselors, who are now actively providing pro bono services to the program’s clients.
“Our organization has been able to help many families across the Ozarks, and as chairperson of our most recent fundraiser, I helped raise more than $30,000 for our cause in one night,” Jarratt says.
Through her business, Revel Advertising provides services for Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, Sertoma Club, Alzheimer’s Association, Champions Committed to Kids, United Way and Developmental Center of the Ozarks.
In addition, Jarratt and her collegues mentor college students in the Drury University communication and design departments, working on a variety of tasks, including review of senior portfolios to job placement in their chosen career field. Personally, Jarratt is deeply involved with the adolescent program at Carol Jones Recovery Center, helping young girls involved with drugs.
“It offers young girls an opportunity to turn their lives around and become successful high school students,” she says. “Carol Jones Recovery has allowed me to help an even younger demographic of females find success in their lives.”[[In-content Ad]]
