Market Ave., Life Cycles sells Switzerland-based BMC bicycles and Lezyne accessories. Meyer is a cycling team member of SBC Sub-4, a sponsor relationship that led to his lease agreement to display a half-dozen bikes around the brewery, including a few hanging above the bar. He declined to disclose lease terms. Meyer, who also runs Meyer Lawn Service, said he personally financed the $30,000 venture. LifeOfCycle.comGuildMaster Inc.GuildMaster Inc. opened a designer showroom Dec. 12 for a three-day public sale, and it will sell floor samples to the public once a month at 3055 E. Division St. The Springfield-based home furnishings manufacturer and distributor already operates showrooms in Dallas, Atlanta, Las Vegas and High Point, N.C. The addition in Springfield comes as the company works through bankruptcy reorganization, a plan that was approved in late September. The judge’s decision – centered on a purchase agreement by management and a $1 million commitment by unnamed investors – came a month after GuildMaster was sentenced to five years of probation for illegal imports after its wholly owned Chinese manufacturer applied lamps with counterfeit safety certification labels.
Margaret Powers, GuildMaster’s Chicago-based vice president of sales, manages the showroom and product offerings, including Old World-designed wall art and lighting.
