Kent Morrison moved an existing business from Nixa and opened a new one under one roof at 1900 W. Sunset St., Ste. A-116, in Kansas Plaza. The new business, Classic Rock Coffee Co., occupies 2,500 square feet with a music theme, complete with guitar wall hangings, black lights and bass drums as tables. The coffee shop, which serves as a model for franchise prospects, opened July 25 and employs 11. While also roasting and selling beans to other coffee shops, Classic Rock Coffee’s menu includes coffee drinks – a 12-ounce latte is $3.25 – protein shakes and smoothies for $4.50, and food treats. Morrison said startup and relocation costs totaled $400,000, including $250,000 for Classic Rock Coffee Co., all funded by Shake This profits. The $4,750 basic models include installation within 150 miles from Marshfield. Hornaday said he paid for the $80,000 startup costs.
