Lathrop & Gage moves to acquire Denver firm

Kansas-City based law firm Lathrop & Gage, which has a presence in Springfield, has made plans to acquire Denver-based Kamlet Reichert LLP, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

Lathrop & Gage entered into a purchase agreement with the 20-lawyer corporate, real estate and transactional firm, with the deal scheduled to close Jan. 1, 2011.

Lathrop & Gage has a Springfield office at 1845 S. National Ave.

The company recently was listed to Inc. magazine's 2010 Inc. 5000, a list that ranks privately held companies according to three-year percentage revenue growth. Lathrop & Gage ranked at No. 4,380; it had a three-year growth rate from 2006-09 of 21 percent, with 2009 revenue of $121 million and 2006 revenue of $99.5 million, according to the Springfield Business Journal.
