3M reveals first-quarter miss

Industrial conglomerate 3M posted first-quarter earnings of $1.2 billion, a slight decrease compared to the same quarter a year earlier.

Revenue dropped to $7.6 billion from $7.8 billion last year, according to CNBC.

Earnings per share were $1.85, up from $1.79 a year ago but less than the Wall Street-projected $1.92.
