Craig Wright is more than a financial adviser. Heís a teacher, a mentor and a trainer driven to serve those who seek to better navigate an ever-changing financial climate.
And he's accomplished. Wright recently qualified to become a member of the Million Dollar Round Table based on his 2014 production with Strategic Financial Concepts Inc.
The organization represents the cream of the crop among financial advisers, Wright says, adding the association isn't just about numbers, but promotes strict ethical conduct and client-service standards.
Wright says becoming a member has been a goal of his since helping launch Strategic Financial Concept Inc.’s Missouri operations with President Bruce Davison in 2009. The average age for members is in the 40s and three out of four have 15 years of industry experience or more.
“I take great pride in qualifying at the age of 31 and with only five years of experience in the financial services industry,” he says.
Wright recently accepted the position of director of development for the Ozarks division of Strategic Financial Concepts, so he can help train the next group of up-and-coming financial advisers.
“In this role, I am responsible for recruiting, training and equipping new associates to our firm throughout southwest Missouri, while maintaining a personal practice geared around helping families and business owners with their financial matters,” Wright says.
When it comes to clients, Wright takes an educational approach.
“With the realization that there is no such thing as a perfect financial product, I teach my clients strategies for success that build, protect and grow their wealth,” he says.
And he’s not just teaching at work. Another significant accomplishment for Wright came when he was recruited to teach an investments class at his alma mater, Southwest Baptist University.
“I did not apply for this position, but was personally asked by Dr. Troy Bethards, dean of the College of Business and Computer Science,” Wright says. “I was honored that Dr. Bethards – who prior to becoming dean, taught the class – trusted me to provide quality education for a senior-level course.”
Outside of work, Wright has served as a board member for the Ozarks Counseling Center since 2010. He says he’s proudest accomplishment to date was working with the board to purchase the nonprofit’s first building.
“This process allowed us to take advantage of low interest rates, reduce our costs of overhead, move to a more strategic location near downtown Springfield, provide a better atmosphere for counseling services and increase the number of available rooms for children’s therapy, all in an effort to be the safety net for our community when it comes to mental health needs,” Wright says.
He also serves on the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s Chairman’s Chamber committee and is the chapter president and chapter mentor for Masterminds of Business.[[In-content Ad]]
Moseley’s Discount Office Products was purchased; Side Chick opened in Branson; and the Springfield franchise store of NoBaked Cookie Dough changed ownership.
