Burlison recognized on top young conservative list

The American Conservative Union has recognized Missouri Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Springfield, on its national 10 Under 40 list.

ACU, a grassroots conservative organization founded in 1964, will host the 10 representatives during its Sept. 28 regional Conservative Political Action Conference in St. Louis, during which the elected leaders are invited to speak about what they are doing in their states to promote conservative agenda intiatives, according to a news release.

“I am deeply honored to be on this prestigious list of young conservatives who are working diligently to advance the core principles of our party, such as lower taxes and smaller government,” Burlison said in the release. “I am excited to have the opportunity to meet some of the other legislators on the list and to discuss the challenges they have faced in advancing common-sense reforms, and how they overcame those challenges."

Burlison is one of three Missouri legislators to crack ACU's 10 Under 40. Reps. Paul Churtman, R-Pacific, and Casey Guernsey, R-Bethany, also made the list.[[In-content Ad]]
