Chamber of Commerce names new senior vice president of economic development

Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Business Development Ryan Mooney has been promoted to senior vice president of economic development, effective Aug. 2.

Mooney will lead the Springfield Business Development Corp., the chamber's economic development branch, and manage the five-year $2.75 million capital campaign supporting the chamber's economic developments, according to a chamber news release.

Mooney has been with the chamber's economic development team for 11 years.

He is replacing Greg Williams as senior vice president of economic development. Williams announced in early June he had accepted a job as director of the University of Missouri System Research Parks, according to Springfield Business Journal coverage.[[In-content Ad]]
