Project description: Doug Sampson, university architect and director of planning, design and construction at MSU, said the school is replacing the existing metal structure and wood seating with precast concrete grandstands and aluminum seating. He said the facility would feature over 4,000 seats for fans, game-day meeting rooms for home and visiting football teams, concessions, restrooms, storage, an elevator and ticket booth, as well as 2,350 square feet of upper deck for standing room. MSU spokeswoman Nicki Donnelson said the project is funded through student fees, bond money and private gifts.
