City of Branson considers smoking ban

The Tri-Lakes Clean Air Alliance met with the Branson City Council to discuss a possible smoking ban in all Branson businesses, according to KSPR, Springfield Business Journal’s media partner.

The ABC affiliate reports Branson currently has the second highest smoking rate in Missouri, and there are currently 25 cities, including Springfield, across the state with similar smoking bans.

In a survey, 87 percent of Branson visitors said it is important that hotels and restaurants are smoke free, according to KSPR, and the alliance is seeking to extend such measures across all businesses.
