Mission Statement:

To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Service Area:

We serve youth in 31 counties across southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas.

Funding:

Major funding sources include annual giving campaign titled Friends of Scouting, popcorn product sale, camping revenue, foundations, and United Way.

Annual Events:

Highline Run for Scouting (5k and half marathon) and the Boy Scout Golf Classic

How People & Businesses Can Help:

We have many areas of need for our over 8,500 young people.  Some families can afford the program and some can not.  Our board allocates scholarships each year to support those families that can not - including registration, uniforming, and summer camp fees.

Volunteer Opportunities:

We have almost 3,500 volunteers that range from project support once a year to leaders that participate in the weekly youth meetings.  If you are committed to supporting youth, we have a volunteer job that can fit your talents and schedule.
