Mission Statement To eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Service Area The Greater Missouri Chapter serves 58 counties in northeast, central and southwest Missouri, with offices in Springfield and Columbia. We provide care and support at no charge to families and individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
Funding
Our major sources of funding include special events such as the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, grants, foundations, corporations and individual donations.
12-month Goals Provide information, support, referral services and educational classes to families and individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
Annual Events Walk to End Alzheimer’s - the largest fundraising and awareness campaign for Alzheimer’s disease nationwide; Strike Out Alzheimer’s - annual night at Hammons Field to cheer for the Springfield Cardinals and raise money for Walk to End Alzheimer's.
How People and Businesses Can Help Individuals and businesses can help move our mission forward through donations, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships. We also welcome volunteers and those wanting to assist with our advocacy efforts.
